The turning forks are 2.5 inches long and one is made from 3/4 inch American cold rolled steel (1018 steel), the 2 3/8 inch diameter heavy wall tube.

The turning hardy was hand built/welded in Montana with 7018 welding rod for strength. Each one has two welding passes, 6010 root pass and 7018 filler pass.
